Stay

Reserve your room.

We've reserved a room block at the Courtyard Marriott, Larkspur Landing — the official hotel of the wedding, where family will be staying. Housing in Marin is limited and it's a holiday weekend. Book before the formal invitation goes out to guarantee your room and the preferred rate.

Getting Here

Take the shuttle.

The venue has no parking. Shuttles will run to and from the wedding all night. Plan to depart mid-afternoon for pre-ceremony traditions. Uber to the venue is possible but you won't be able to call one home. Not comfortable taking the shuttle? Reach out to us directly.

The Venue

Boylan's Barn, Lagunitas, California

Boylan's Barn sits along Lagunitas Creek in the redwoods of West Marin — a family-run venue owned and operated by the Boylans. You'll walk over the creek to get to the ceremony. Rainbow trout spawn in that water, and the colors of this wedding are pulled directly from them. Rivers and streams have always been a part of our story. This felt like the right place.

A portion of every venue fee goes toward supporting the West Marin community. Past donations have gone to the Yes Foundation, Valley Visions, Valley Toys and Joys, St. Cecilia's, San Geronimo Community Center, and the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.

Accommodations

Questions

The Vibe

Relaxed, warm, outside, Jewish. Come ready to eat, dance, and stay late.

What To Wear & Weather

Late May in Marin is mild — 60s during the day, cooler at night. The venue is outdoors and along a creek, so bring a layer. Dress: festive, comfortable, not black tie. Heels will sink in the grass.

Is The Wedding Outdoors?

Yes. Ceremony and reception are outdoors at the barn. Bring a layer for the evening.

Getting There & Getting Around

Shuttles run to and from the Courtyard Marriott, Larkspur Landing all day. No parking at the venue. Uber to the venue is possible but you won't be able to call one home — the shuttle is your ride back. If you're driving yourself or staying elsewhere, reach out and we'll get you the shuttle pickup details.

Do I Need A Rental Car?

Not if you're staying at the Courtyard. If you're exploring Marin on your own or staying elsewhere, a car helps.

What Airport Should I Fly Into & How Far Is It?

San Francisco (SFO) is the closest major airport, about 45 minutes to the hotel without traffic. Oakland (OAK) works too and is often cheaper.

Marin vs. San Francisco

You can stay in San Francisco, but we don't recommend it. Marin is across the Golden Gate Bridge — logistically annoying on wedding day without a car. The shuttle runs from Larkspur, not the city. Stay on this side of the bridge.

Food & Dietary Restrictions

Dinner is family style. All dietary restrictions are accommodated — just let us know on your RSVP.

Plus Ones

Your invitation will specify. If you have questions, reach out directly.

Gifts & Card Table

Yes, there will be a card table at the venue. Registry details are on the registry page.

What If I Miss The Shuttle?

Reach out to us directly and we'll figure it out. Don't Uber and strand yourself.

Making A Weekend of It

Marin is worth the trip. Hike Mount Tamalpais, eat oysters at Hog Island, take the ferry into San Francisco, explore Point Reyes. You can find our recommendations below.

If You're Local To The Bay

Still stay in Marin if you can — the shuttle makes the night easier and you won't want to drive home. If you're driving yourself, plan ahead for the ride back.

What to wear

Colorful cocktail. Prints, patterns, and personality.

Dresses, jumpsuits, suits, and statement pieces all welcome. Dressy but not stuffy. Ties optional, jackets yes. The venue is gravel, grass, and uneven ground — flats, boots, and loafers over heels. Pack a real jacket. May in Marin runs cool.
